Thanks for the chapter. That was a twisted way of ascending. Regarding the build up, as a reader, am neutral since only few significant events have happened and everything seems to perfectly go the mc's way, so nothing surprising. However, I think you're doing a great job of establishing a foundation. I have a feeling that the 2nd half of the volume will be worth the grind as the stage is set.
