For mage I think he should get more knowledge in how to control the elements and how to combine them or, maybe like when he got the swordsman job, he will get a memory of using magic during a few years. Because I think to use magic correctly he would need to know what is the best distance to cast the spell, the MP he should use, the elements that give more damage to each monster and how to conserve his MP during a fight. And for Herbalist he could get knowledge of different plants and herbs, as the job is low level basic recipies and how to make them. I think the skills that the jobs give is more like abillities and not knowledge. For example: *Wizard gives the possibility to use elemental spells but it doesn't teach you especific spells, it is you that needs to experiment. *Merchant gives you the Calc skill but doesn't teach you how to make a sucessfull business *Swordsman gives a sword skill but doesn't teach you how to use a sword *Monk gives you the heal skill but doesn't teach you how to fight with your hands
