I finally understand what bother me so much with this novel, I never feel like there is a danger , i never feel atached to any character , Émir feel just to perfect no mistake in any action , no hésitation just power blazing any obstacle. after so many chap I finally know why I can't get into it . Émir just feel inorganic ,à perfect being with anecdotic flaw who tremple any opposent
thats what was bothering me. You clearly wrote emir with flaw , but I just dont feel them in any fight . He never make any mistake with his Time ability , can responsable to any situation with is ability (can fight long , close range , now he can even protect himself). Lack of experience ? he can bypass this with his ability, . He's often "close to death" but I never feels as if he can lose à fight. He just feel too strong and perfect in the way he fight. Thats just the impression he is giving me. And his lack of "personality?" with his lack of any error make him just feel like an inorganic being.I just dont have any attachement to him. Actually the scenes that i like the most are the on with his family , when they are some devellopement for him.

Cause Emir is the last thing from perfect; every fight is him almost dying, with a few exceptions; him winning isn't just because of his strength but his smarts as well, with a lot of schemes going on. Personality wise is the same, he's cold, twisted, shameless, and deranged; he certainly isn't perfect. And you mentioned hesitancy; why would he hesitate to do anything? Did you forget that he was trained to be a weapon since young and that he 'died' more than 400,000 times? If hesitation wasn't permanently extinguished by then, it wouldn't make sense. Anyways I'd appreciate it if you told me how or when you felt that way, since I really can't see how.
Logically - all celestials should be at least combat veterans with quite a lot of fights in their past. Having a certain skills granted by eather doesn’t remove their previous experience and the basic understanding of how combat plays. When someone is very strong and equipped with long range abiliries he should be aware that most if not all enemies will try moving near him to negate some of his arsenal. He should have a response to that. In general learning something new will grant you a big boon of expertise at the start wih little time investment. Becoming proficient or expert usually takes a lot more time. Yet someone who knows tha basics good and is on the defense can be a real problem even for an expert to take in a short time.
