excellent chapter Itachi's problem is that like it or not, he's more inclined towards Konoha. The way he wishes peace is with the Uchihas bowing their heads to Konoha basically. I think the fact that he witnessed part of the war reinforces that the clan (he's pretty smart, so he's aware) wouldn't have chance against the village. From the point of view of the narrow path that is the world of Naruto (basically: Obey the leaders and everything is fine) it's not so wrong for him to act like this, his morality and vision are very limited... Which is ironic given that he have mangekyou now

Where does he get his mangekyō from? Is he a psychopath who thought his Shisui-nisan "died"? :) Personally, I never liked the forced correction of the plot, as well as the strengthening of enemies for no real reason, if only the MC had difficulties. But let's see...

So the author decided to pull a mangekyo out of nowhere just to force the plot his way... Such a giant plothole... Between the never ending amount of inner monologing and that the IQ of the characters appears no be pityfully low at times, this story has become a disappointment.
