I understand your point, I also don't like that much about original works, I like fantasy, magic, unknown realms and mystical creatures, whether good, bad or neutral, I like pure and unadulterated romance, for George, pessimism is reality and always the present and the future followed the worst path, he even runs away from reality to the point that there is almost no happiness in his books, to a certain extent in his books it is not happiness but a certain momentary relief after a gigantic mountain of bad things which he ends up running away from his purpose, despite it being fantasy to follow as close to reality as possible, life is not just disaster after disaster.
DaoistGatsu973:I do not appreciate the original work very much because it contains too much tragedy and a large dose of helplessness. This reduces the enthusiasm to continue reading, joke aside. In fact, it is one of the reasons why I prefer fanfictions, as they distance themselves as much as possible from the realism of the original works. Realism has no place in a novel, from my point of view, although it perfectly fulfills its role in real life. This is a personal point of view. If I read novels, it is to entertain myself and immerse myself in fantastic adventures, not to experience a roller coaster of emotions and feel the powerlessness of a situation. I already have enough opportunities to experience that in my daily life. I want to dream, and that's why I read novels.
