Tony concealed too much for too long. How can Marcella trust him? Everything Randy told Marcella was his perception of events. Marcella would be able to weigh Randy's version against Tony's if she had not been kept in the dark. Naturally she will doubt Tony.

I’m kind of puzzled right now. That was a lot to take in. Tony is the son of Mrs. Murphy and Paul Romano…and somehow his wife let her work for them still? She seems like a nasty witch who would burn Mrs. Murphy at the stake. And I’m quite sad that this is how things are being shifted to Tony. He was trying to save both!
