I love how he calls them 'that Halfort boy' and 'that Rose girl' just like how an old man would. I live for subtle things like this in writing! I think it would be interesting if we get to see Rudeus using Chantless incantation of Barrier Magic as an alternative to Touki. Author can show that Rudeus learn Barrier & Summoning (Beast & Spirit) Magic from Pergius in the previous timeline upto King-Rank, which formed that basis of Rudeus learning the 1st-Dragon-God's Reincarnation/Time-Travel Magic & Teleportation Magic.
