that's just lazy writing. jiryoku doesn't have a time limit in search for mt. myoboku. he could ignore the battlefield and still goes to myoboku to wreak havoc there nonetheless, and there's nothing the toads can do expect intervene him before he arrived. the toads doesn't have any ability to decide the battlefield.

I hope you actually slaughter everybody that interfere in the fight. Even konoha ninja he should kill them. He say he won't attack konoha, if they are just ninjas from there that are opposing him outside konoha it does not matter because is not konoha. Also killing Sasuke should be interesting.
