It signifies in a way a fruitless struggle. Then there is his adoptive father potentially becoming his enemy and having to fight him. That is the first person to show him any real kindness and offered him much. Not only will it hurt to fight him, but he is also very powerful so if will be difficult. On top of that there are hunters looking for her and he has to make a choice of what will be safer for her. Can he fight them all or will he have to send her far away? The hunters don't seem easy to deal with if even Lysander is eager to find them and finish the famous hunter once and for all. Lots of turmoil ahead for Rhain before finding happiness, if this book has a happy ending. We don't know but I hope 🤞
