I don't even know where to start 💔. I don't think Rhain truly comprehends the things (abuse) he has went through. He talks about being sold a bit casually, because he is so focused on saving his brother, but it has affected his regardless. I truly believe that is where his strong need of not wanting to delve into the past comes from. He knows now years later, he will realize things that will pain him a lot 💔. You can already see some of his detachment here and now he has fall into this evil cycle of saving his brother because the survival guilt is still deeply etched in him. I can at least be happy he has Daisy now. He needs someone like her. In his life it seems he has given so much care but recieved so little 🥺
How can people be so cruel to him with a blizzard out there? He was a young man all alone and all he wanted was to get warm so he didn't freeze to death. He owes Lysander a lot for taking him in and being nice to him. A vampire, of all people that he encountered, was the one who took him in and took care of him. I loved this chapter and I hope that we get a few more chapters about his past and how they turned him and his brother.
Thank you for the long chapter,JazZy and the return to Rhain's past. And if you ask me, such a heartache and sad life for our Rhain🥺💔 He only cares for his brother and he lived up to his promise to his mother to be responsible to his brother and that says alot to Rhain's character. He'd do everything for him, whatever it takes, whatever the price of it too. Would love to know more about his past life with Lysander.Thankies for the chapter🥰
🥲😢😭😭😭Jasmine, this is such a sad story on Rhain’s journey from rags, pain and suffering to riches. He has deeply ingrained within, much mental and emotional scars for his goal of survival for himself and even more so for his brother. A man bereft of true love for centuries and has only now found it in a human teenager. I hope Daisy will be enough to bring some succour and light to his old wounded soul.
