Don’t know if it’s smart to tell the elves about the soul trait. Clearly they aren’t completely loyal as they were itching to leave the territory early and have slipped up with secret information before. It also isn’t unnatural for big factions to want to destroy micheal completely after finding out about Extraction, and you may say how will they find out? Simple, he’s sharing his secret with a people who aren’t restricted by links of loyalty and in said group there is very likely some elves who would give up the information. Even though it will be found out about eventually I don’t think it is a great idea to release it without sufficient strength and we are not there yet tbh.

The MC messed up when he didn't include a requirement, in the links of loyalty with the Elves, that they would have to keep his secrets for as long as they live. Thus they would never be able to reveal the info about his extraction ability nor about his other abilities nor about the runes that he found.
