I don't want to say this but mc is stupid here, how could they get stronger if they just sitting there and doing nothing. Mc logic is look like " I don't want to send my scout and beast tamer because they're just level 1, they're weak or useless" so how could they became strong if you just let them stay like that, just what he said around his territory has a lot of strong monster, so that give more a reason to make his people stronger by utilizing the shield.
