I had a thought because of Irene. She hates depises her draconification, since she lost her taste, ability to sleep (if I remember right) and many other human traits. She simply became bitter, but we know from the Fary Tail manga (well ich only watched the anime, but in that aspect they should be identical), that Irene loved her daughter and in reality still does. Alfonzo has an extensive knowledge about souls and I am not sure to what extend the dragon slayer magic influences the soul, but what if he asks Uruhara for help to create a Gigai and transplants Irenes soul into it? Like that she would get back a somewhat normal body and would more willing to defect to Alfonzo und his guild.
