Comments of chapter undefined of I Became an SSS-Ranked Chef in a VR Game

Ok, anyone else remembering a book about a chef who had a terrible accident that ruined their ability to cook, caused by greedy restaurant owner/betraying fellow trainee chef? The MC joins VR game to cook. Also meets Morphius character and says wrong starting village. MC's roommate winds up as gypsy/assassin persona? I think it wound up running out of chapters after MC met up with roommate, but before any cooking. Anyone know if this is same author or maybe same book after a rewrite?
