I think Emily should choose to hurt him. And not just for our sadistic sense of satisfaction. I was thinking about Ginger and her corruption after Jonathan's death and I thought that perhaps Emily's corruption is spreading so quickly because she's too pure. She needs to tap into the dark side to mitigate the physical manifestation of the corruption by pre-emptively corrupting her soul by choice.
