I would treat it as the spartan 2s were better off and luckier with facing off against covenant weapons. I would say shield down lethal shield up not lethal

It does not help that weapon damage changes in all the games too and to be fair shield tech not been added yet I am think the MC in a little upgraded odst armor

Honestly, I'd say just rank on what type of armor you think they were wearing cause I don't know how deadly each would be either. If spartan III's were made to be dispensable then maybe a good excuse is that most didn't have good armor. The ones that did have good armor were more energy based so when it ran out of battery, they ran out of luck. Kinda like plot armor.

spartans dying to a few bullets i find unbelievabley dumb especially if they are wearing mjolnir armour, also the halo show i would say kinda did a good job on how tanky a spartan should be imo if i remember it right
