is the guy a german? just wondering. this guy seems way too proud too often. he has goals he's working towards. but he seems to have been caught up in the patriotic gung-ho, even though he recognized the propaganda at the recruiting station. also, didn't we join the war in 1941? and Captain America joined in 1943? why is he going in, in 1939/40? how is he so good with guns? is it really just the training he's put himself through? also, I'm kind of curious as to what his backstory is supposed to be.
