This author is stupid. Leng Yan has been a useful pawn by being his connection within the law enforcement but now, by publicly showing off his "relationship" with her just to satisfy his petty, and undeserved arrogant pride he's making it harder for her to cover up his crimes in the future because the other law enforcement officers will blame her for nepotism if she does it now. Truly idiotic. now I remember why I dropped this the first time I read this novel
