I find it very hard to believe a human would be fighting criminals so often with only the few spells he has with zero fighting experience, training or CQC training. It just breaks the suspense of belief since it is absurd. All it needs is a sniper, someone from behind him he didn't notice and its over. Riding the plot armor train full on, not trying to insult but it is what it is. Even heroes with legit superpowers get ambushed unless they have some super senses like Matt, and even then at far enough range and a sniper he could be ambushed too.
