I can't help but think that James's death was actually a plan between him and Lily. That James knew full well that he was going to die this way and that the ultimate goal was to save Harry... no matter the cost. That would be a wonderful turnaround. However, I still remain fixated on this “backup plan” thing. Did Lily really love Harry or is she as evil as Sirius seems to point out ?
