You guys realize Madam Paulis isn't a demoness, right? She's not supernaturally beautiful and alluring like a demoness. Furthermore, the rumors Lumien found out imply she is of the Death Pathway and may be a Spirit Medium. Just throwing around the term "demoness" everywhere is going to mislead and confuse those who haven't read or don't remember all the details in the first LotM.

I think the Charm of Demoness affecting him. I don't think he needed power, What he needed is the power *through Madam Pualis. Kinda Demoness charm but a sealed artifact can't be ruled out.

Naah my friends i dont think shes a demoness, first of they were all illustrated like the pinnacle of beauty. Madam was just said to br elegant and good looking for her age. And second they have to be a serial killer to be a demoness, and i dont this shes been a demoness long enough to become the wife of that person, because they seemed to be married for a while...

I'm glad the fact that Lumian has seemed to be really obsessed with getting powers is brought up here. I believed it to be a slightly annoying character trait that could used as a driver for future story arcs. Maybe it still will be that, but to a lesser extent.

The novel is really slow, it's too difficult for me. :( I don't think I can keep up reading everyday. Maybe I should stockpile for weeks. What do you guys think?
