Pitiable Duke Hayes....I guess he has to work hard to earn their love, and redeem himself. After all, he was manipulated and schemed against.
If he kicks out Olivia , then it have been to protect himself from her future scheme because everyone already know how worst the person is. But he never care for anything about Isla and Damien. Just Isla is not giving him enough attention, he is obsessed for her but he clearly does not love her. If what he feels is love then he would have tried to protect them instead of hurting them.
Mayu_0780:well, tbh, I wouldn't be able to accept this woman and this child. Even if I loved someone, but they would deceive me, I would leave. Yes, Damian is somewhat an innocent party in the schemes of his real parents. But to Dante, when he sees him, he remembers how because of him and his mother Isla left with Damien. Of course, Dante himself is at fault here. All his actions led to this situation. However, I'd say that he is still pretty humane towards his nephew. Other men might just kick the child out on the streets, but he didn't. He is not asking him to work as a servant in his house to repay him or anything. He didn't abuse him physically or verbally. He only started to ignore him and moved him from a room meant for an heir to another. Dante could've been way more ruthless towards his nephew, especially considering that he is not in his right mind atm. He also didn't kill or kick out Olivia, she is still taking care of Damian. It's just that he or someone else should tell Damian the truth. Yes, it might be mean to a child, but if no one talks to him, he will grow up with crooked views. Again, I understand why Dante avoids him. He might trigger an aggression from Dante, and Dante might be worried that he will end up hurting Damian. Another reason is that Damian is the proof that all of Dante's actions and his judgment were proved to be wrong.
It's a refreshing sight to read about a female lead who strongly pushes away her ex-lover. I've read tons of female leads about how their heart "thump" when they kiss their former lover, I was like "girl... did you forget the misery he put you through? All the lies, the cheating, etc.".Needless to say, Go Isla! Beat that duke more!
