Yes, Damian is somewhat an innocent party in the schemes of his real parents. But to Dante, when he sees him, he remembers how because of him and his mother Isla left with Damien. It's just that he or someone else should tell Damian the truth. Yes, it might be mean to a child, but if no one talks to him, he will grow up with crooked views. Again, I understand why Dante avoids him. He might trigger an aggression from Dante, and Dante might be worried that he will end up hurting Damian. Another reason is that Damian is the proof that all of Dante's actions and his judgment were proved to be wrong.
