The field guide has no interest outside of the game. What the interest for him to discover more lore when he has 5 years to learn in one ? Also you have been copy pasting game dialogues, which remove most if the suspense in your story.
teaching troll to dance is a bad example on this lol. imagine this, what makes learning better and more fun? learning history by looking at books and words, hearing professor binns all day, or run around the castle, looking at the old artefacts and history pieces that Hogwarts have to offer in the halls?

As information choice or time spend it isn't very efficient. Again this mechanic worked in game perspective, it doesn't in writing.
out of all the herry potter fics i read this is amazing its good and its not tripping do you have a release schedule? and also another question when will we see the next chapters hope you don't start this story and never finish it or get into stories indefinitely most of the herry potter fics i read either get it wrong or too traveled
