The field guide has no interest outside of the game. What the interest for him to discover more lore when he has 5 years to learn in one ? Also you have been copy pasting game dialogues, which remove most if the suspense in your story.
the whole idea of field guide in game is just so that the protagonist of that game to learn theories, histories, descriptions of plants and magical creatures, etc, while he was just walking around the place bro, you only see the field guide as a game mechanic in this case, not the in-lore prespective. it's literally explained in the chapter that it's to provide a more interactive experience so the MC could understand it more instead of just sitting in front of the desk all day and night reading and answering questions that will bore him all year.

out of all the herry potter fics i read this is amazing its good and its not tripping do you have a release schedule? and also another question when will we see the next chapters hope you don't start this story and never finish it or get into stories indefinitely most of the herry potter fics i read either get it wrong or too traveled
