Seems interesting, the reason they skipped a lot of the details is because it would very much NOT be a fun anime to watch with the details, more like one of those darker depressing stories. As for this novel? No cheats, no knowledge, following plot (to a degree)... sounds like a painful experience. In that world, like many (in this world we actually know the ruler cheats) you don't win, you survive with plot armor, unless you have cheats (in ff at least). The MC literally needed divine armor to survive. I'll pass.
