The same as the nature of magic in this world, the division of the magical races by innate ability, etc. I suppose it doesn't hurt to give you a sneak peak at some information however to help. Witches were cursed after the ancient war and were forced from their ancestral lands. The Witches call this their "Long Walk" Warlocks (male Witches) became rarer as part of the curse. Witches, after they were forced away from their homes, became known for their work in potions and healing. Hopefully that should explain the titles that these two characters address each other.
