I like her, but I hope Cane is second guessing his decision to appoint Aliana as Iris’s guard. She used Iris’s curiosity to manipulate her. Aliana didn’t have bad intentions, but she doesn’t know that Iris has a track record of getting herself into trouble because of her curiosity. And that’s what happened this time, too. Iris was so delighted by everything Aliana was saying and giving her to eat/drink, she completely forgot about the tonic and unintentionally jeopardized the success of their fertility treatments. Aliana’s job is to guard, it is not to encourage Iris to do things they all know Cane will not approve of. That being said, Aliana and Ethan are cute together. 🤭

I hope that this incident with Iris getting drunk at the tavern, helps them become closer and stronger together, just like they did after Iris hurt Cane’s wolf wisp. Communicating and ensuring they are on the same page is super important, even though this chapter seems so sad and gloomy. Hopefully the sun will shine in the next chapter ❤️
