spoilers: she never betrayed ye qibei. in fact she was protecting him and family. crown prince wanted to harvest cultivation from her after she reached certain realm.she lost cultivation and became buddhist nun. she always pray for ye qibei's well being.PS: she was a pitiful girl. I always sympathize this kind of character. author just made use of her character for ye qibei's eventual rise. I still hope that author somehow write include her in story which is extremely slim chance.
