Finally we see other elements, so it seems that Kiara was not an enemy of the MC, as such he should have already fought against them so I guess he knows the weaknesses of his arts, I guess the author tries to delve deeper into the characters in which I agree in the long run this is good for the story, it's like in the robbery a lot of people complained but I read the novel again and when you don't have to wait 24 hours to read what happened it's pretty good, how I miss you 2 daily chapters now you are just a memory in my mind...

The tournamet arc feels like pure filler :/

Brother, there was no need to use two chapters for a fight with a clear winner. Reece has been continually mentioned as being rivals with Jayden so we knew they would fight again. Chapter was just filler
