Going to need more information on what Asher gains by doing this. Based on the info available, it would have been better to try to steal the SSS ranked gem or lay low to gain more power. Nathan might die fighting the calamities now or other elite families could gang up on the Greville family due to the chaos of the situation. I’m sure Casie is mentally unstable enough to try and kill Lucas and Livia now that the focus is shifted off her.

wait so this can effectively disturb even his life at the academy and give him more time for his plans and self-improvement. As everyone including S rank hunters might be required for clean up and support for beast wave and all. I believe Asher has awakened beasts only in areas which would'nt affect the influence of gerville family , so even if Nathan went to fight calamities it would more of a show , as he knows that the previous explosion in the dungeon was someone plan, so he will be more alert this time.
