It now makes sense how the betrayal is even possible: her step mother and not her birth mother. Still unforgivable that she sees a trade as being owed and due to her. Dissapointed in Drogo as she is his flesh and blood. I bet they could have traded/battered better as it involved a child of theirs but Avice was ready to be rid of Emma. Dragon being the held of the rebellion and secretly trading Emma reeks of further underhanded interactions in the future that will result in death, betrayal and possibly all round and unfathomable dread and destruction; as he is willing to sacrifice his morals and integrity for this trade. Wait till the other members of the rebellion come to know of the trade. A tale to be relayed, waiting with eager anticipation for the anticlimactic instances , a must...

I feel sorry for her. I get parents will sacrifice to save their kids but one doesn't generally sacrifice the other child; they sacrifice themselves. I know she doesn't see it but this is a blessing in disguise because clearly for whatever reason, Drago's love and affection for her wavered for his son and he allows his wife to belittle and demean her for whatever apparent reason and she can do better than that.

excited to know the path Emma and Lazarus had to take to the destiny we all know. A difficult challenge on hand Mishak. So looking forward to the journey together

This book is in my library and I'm enjoying it so far. I hate Avice and Drogo already.

So far so good! I love the storyline and can't wait to know what awaits Emma and Vampire Lazurus.

i just started reading and as usual I know I'm going to have a blast, but Mishak please don't abandon *the dark hunger* I love that story too much Caleb too deserves his happy ending.

I got interest reading this story. It is very rare to have a good stepmother, and selling her out in exchanged for her brother's life not worth it bec her stepmother is very selfish Meeting with the vampire he saw, Her fears added more upon seeing the same man. What good will these arrangement will bring to her.
