I think Leon would still rather have died since he’s “normal” and not the “oh I became someone else in a new world and forced to follow a script. Let’s try to live this life!” Kind of person. (Reason why he’s a vegetable right now). The system gave him a false goal to cover up its mistakes. It’d be more messed up if the system was like, “you died, I lost the previous soul, take his spot and live in this world as this character.” What “normal” person would accept that fate?
