why is the author making linley's family out to be the average haughty noble family that discriminates. I haven't read the book in a long time but it was never implied that they were like that. Especially linley's father or brother who were men of honour. Their characters are twisted. if the author wanted to create conflict he should have made conflict sprout organically.
