Bad writing. I wish the author would let the MC discover people himself. MC sights a town, we are immediately told everything about it including the irrelevant details. MC meets a woman, the same thing happens. we know everything while MC knows nothing. But he behaves as if he is privy to the information we were fed forcefully.
