Author, how often do authors have to sign a new contract with Webnovel? Is it every so many chapters or how does it work? I’m wondering why a book that had been updating regularly, is now stuck a 99 chapters for over three weeks.

yes agreed that author's lose motivation but doesn't it apply to readers too? if readers don't get regular updates won't they switch to some other story/writer? then will it serve any purpose to the writer?
