I think this was a good chapter even if it was a little gruesome. I do think his fathers thinking unfortunately for him is flawed his son has the love of the people and loyalty of thirty guards. While he only has fear which loses all power when deposed. I think he could easily overthrow him maybe fake assassination on him plus have the guards and the smallfolk testify against him and claim his father went insane. Then to avoid all the power hungry accusations turn him over to the Starks who would probably be happy to executor knowing what kind of person he is. The Regency problem the Meister or one of the family like Barberry Dustin wouldn't be so bad
To be honest I'm a bit repulsed about the harm of the maids since now they fear the mc who was innocent! Mc better kill off Roose and ramsey they are trash who are no longer needed. Use a poison that makes their bodies so sensitive to pain the a needle feels like a dagger then push roose down some stairs! Then make Barbrey his regent who will let him take charge
