I know what a betrothal is but as a practice it is foreign to me. I would be more anxious over marrying a stranger not of my choice then him having a visual impairment. I view marriage as a sacrament and therefore not to be entered into blindly, if you'll excuse the unintended pun.

Ohh! Surely there could be a case of divorce, not because I don't love him, but because if he doesn't fulfill his responsibilities. Here in our culture, there is no concept of love. We respect the person who we are betrothed with and going to spend our lives. We care for them deeply, but that person could be anyone. Anyone our parent decide! We will happily hand ourselves over to them.

Answer to author's question: Yes, I would gladly agree. Because my parent would be one to decide him for me. So, no matter what type of guy is he, as long as my parent suggest, I will happily agree without looking back. After all, they love me more than themselves, so I trust that they won't do anything that will get me hurt.
