Smasher alive is very forced, but murashi's son is interesting. This leads to a confrontation between the Arasaka son and the rest of the family. Even father Arasaka respects Murashi enormously.

I honestly love this fic so don't think for a second I'm trying to demoralize anyone!Now that I've said that, honestly author there's no way you could have made Smasher surviving not seem forced. They were put in a cage and all corpos excited over seeing mc die any second. They believed it was a fight to the death let alone us the readers. In that situation every corpo would be out to get benefits from Arasaka and attempt to weakening them (killing smasher).So even if smasher was saved how he was by (militech?) the others would stop it to hit Arasaka. The only way I see him living is if every actually important corpo there is under ai's and the ai's want smasher alive. Which would be even more forced lol.Long story short. Somethings will always seem forced, just make the most of it to generate more ideas for yourself.

great chapter as always, Smasher thing is pity, but mystery of second bodyguard is interesting. I hope MC will work on some countermeasures against that red pain code (don't believe that technology will be used only shields). Creation(and stealing) of that space plane should be interesting too. I wonder if they (MC and his mother) plan someday introduce soulcode? They probably need reliable and stable way to create it, but hopefully before soul killer will be publicly introduced. I think they will introduce it to conqure soul killer. It would be interesting battle soul code vs soul killer. Soul code is clearly better with all amazing hacking, but it takes time and basically create copy of you while you are still alive, while soul killer is easier to use and it 'kills' original owner of memories, so to someone it can look like better last option. I think soul code will be more popular generally, but some old(and rich) people will be interested in soul killer. Also some corporations will prefer soul killer to use again their enemies, but that is just my opinion.
