I feel like this one battle has drastically tanked my prior enjoyment of this novel.. I could talk about the bs dimension lost stuff, or the fact that all their training with Scathach was thrown out the window for these fights, or the weird desire to capture when your king clearly said to kill them, but I am so done that I don’t even feel that going into detail is worth it.. If Cao Cao survives James somehow then I’ll probably be done with this.. like it basically took every negative trope in fanfics and stuffed them all into one battle that was dragged out over the course of 5 chapters where you could literally skip them and save the brain cells that would die from reading them at this point. Just pretend they showed up, said hi, then left on their own and you basically end up with the exact same conclusion as of this chapter
