why does the MC act like a wimp? it's fine that he didn't realize that she was cheating but let him be a man about it and fight back. Just because a MC is poor etc doesn't mean he doesn't have pride. at least let him insult the both of them back some even if he gets beaten better than rolling over onto his back like a dog and submit to them. makes for a better story line for future chapters and encounters with the two of them.

i wouldn't say the mc is bad. However, he is too different from me to properly immersion into mc role, beside i think the author overdo the emotional part and make the mc look mentally weak.

To be honest, I like the cringe. It feels real and very embarrassing. I'm invested, for now. I also appreciate the fact that the premise of the novel is right there in the title, lol. No BS ambush plots, just straight forward shamelessness. I'm down. Let's see how far you can retain my interest.
