Red flag with the core

I am not entirely sure this novel is for me, a bit to much.... weird things. The MC that is bullied until he is 18 or ever 23 yet still feels hate and less afraid. In regards to this Core, great addition. This means he does have infinite energy but he still needs to work to get stronger. He can generate 1000 energy points endlessly but can only generate 1000 points of force. In games this means he can spam fireball that needs 800 energy but can't cast firestorm because it needs 1500 energy and he cannot provide it in one go. The explanation in the novel is not best.
