Comments of chapter undefined of Sage of Shadows

This chapter makes no sense. Why does she care what the half elf thinks. She can just go meet the Cryptmaker without her say so. I mean you just establish in this chapter and the previous ones that she can act independently of of her masters. It sound stupid for a master manipulator to give more information about herself to someone that she is using for no benefits.
