There's my big bad alpha wolf. can't lie. as much as I'm loving this story I really have missed Zev and Sasha. This may be an unpopular opinion but I side with Zev on this. He sets foot in a place he wasn't aware was inhabited and is threatened and labeled an intruder. His family is attacked and in defending them he's labled a threat . Then while he's outnumbered he's sedated and bound. And he wakes up in this state only to discover his mate and son are missing. When they're reunited they're in the presence of the very queen who attacked them. And to bargin his release from his bounds Sasha had to surrender their son to prove she was willing to cooperate. And when he's released he shifts. The only thing his body can do to demonstrate his strength while his back is literally against a wall. And now the only one willing to speak to him like a living being with feeling and logic rather than a dangerous animal is the one who ordered his release. So I can see why he doesn't believe Elreth wants peace. She's living with the trauma of the past. And while that in itself is a battle, she also fails to acknowledge that they also are victims wanting peace. She has been told this many times now and yet it took Tarkyn telling her to grow up and just talk to them. But because she's so hostile Zev and Sasha want nothing to do with her. She actually made some headway when she and Sasha spoke one on one. But she lost any trust she might have earned when she forced Sasha to choose between her mate or her child. She's showing strength in the form of force. And no warrior under threat is going to react respond or respect a show of force out of fear. Personally Queen or not she needs to take a step back, ask for help and let the ones who can relate to these new comers speak because as long as she feels she must be in control nothing will change. Harth will stillfeel threatened of her mates people and her alphas will remain behind bars. The mark of a good leader isn't having control of everything, but knowing when help is needed and asking for it. She cannot navigate this alone because she sees only a threat. Unfortunately she's responsible for the hostility shown to her. But instead of accepting that she acted without thought and care she throws vicious insults and deadly what ifs. It's time to step back and let her captain and war chief handle the interviews and then report back to her. It's okay to rely on others.
That's it exactly. Elreth was doing the same thing as the humans, only out of fear. It's sad and I hope Tarkyn can bridge this gap and show Elreth what she been doing. She needs to stop. She not only put Zev in bonds, she even threatened to take their child and hurt Sasha while she was holding her child.
Idk… We all want to assign blame here but it really was the perfect storm of bad timing. Elreth and Aaryn tjemselves out looking for Tarkyn… See a human after they thought there was NO WAY himans could ever enter anima again..: I can’t fault El’s fear and actions and I can’t fault the chimerans Shock and anger at their treatment. Both sides are right and wrong at the same time. They are both, IMO, going to have to take a mea culpa on this.
I do t blame Zev one little bit! All of thisis becauee of ham cruelty! It is sad that although our characters are fiction, the evil amipation the humans did is all too real in this crazy world! Sheesh… I love the hearts Anima and Chimera have… Dear author you have pulled the best of human love and created two peoples that embody that… now if they can just get past the ugly and put the blame where it belongs (on the humans) they can live together or at least be at peace.
