For a moment there I thought she was going to refuse him.... so glad she's letting them do the talking. Also I feel like she keeps forgetting that zev was polite UNTIL she attacked. Then she had him sedated and bound. So his aggression isn't exactly a call for war but instinct born of rage and trauma. Is it safe to say his feeling for her are the same as hers for them? Not so different after all. Loved the chapter like always!

Tarkyn has his work cut out for him. El is having such a hard time trusting or even believing because of her fear. She has been letting the fear steal any joy she could have from making friends and peace with the Chimera. She had a moment when she talked with Sasha, but like El, Zev is terrified. If El hadn't handled things so badly when they first arrived, I am sure Zev wouldn't have either. I hope Tarkyn can talk sense into both El and Zev and they can find peace.

I'm sitting here wiping tears. Tarkyn is telling El, Aaryn and Gar the truth. Every bit of it that Harth has shared with him about why they are there and how she and the Chimera got there in the Creator's timing. It was all meant to happen. Tarkyn is trying to make her see that and know it's true. I want El to start moving forward so they all can. I think once she gets moving, the next step and the step after that will get easier. She's aware that she's scared and now is the time to get moving past it. Tarkyn is right that he should be the one to talk to Zev. Male to male, mate to mate, warrior to warrior. After having talked to Harth about the situation the Chimera were in and how they got to Anima and all that makes him the perfect one to approach Zev. I'm afraid that when he sees El he's gonna act out of anger at her. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Way to go Tark’ He does know what to say to Zev! If only El could understand the humans are their common enemy! I can’t help but wonder where this is going… Chimera and Anima eventually unite… but what have the humans been up to? Are they really safe from the humans? And I can’t help but wonder… the Anima defeated the humans and that led to the horror that ended up with the Chimera…. But the humans are still there…

Leadership is not easy. War is not easy either and the PTSD is surely a part of El’s reluctance. Tarkyn has also gone through both. I loved the part that he felt his soulmate “3 months ago” when Harth arrived. I am hoping more Anima is stirred by the bonds. this one is for El 🤭
