I like changes. At least story won't be one person journey with MC easily dominating everything in his path. Tension is required for good progression fantasy.

There is no problem with OP Char. Just that in previous version it felt like one person theater. There were no other competent people around MC.

Awesome rewrite. The backstory shows how difficult it is for normal people to face monsters and stick to the easier path compared to life or death battles. One question I have is about the Returners. How does Kai’s return affect his past world. Is Dean still successful in a parallel reality. If it’s a known method, how do the returners affect the tutorial. Or are they only able to return with the new upcoming wave.
