Honestly, the sky is the limit with this magic system. I can think of several wishes which could be categorized as "best" for repeated usage. Can't wait to see what Ikaris comes up with. I imagine it will take several dozen chapters until he starts practicing with more advanced spells though.

I think it's an effect where magic flowing through your body continuously, alters your physiology. If it passes through the same channels or in the same repeating pattern, it leaves a mark. Think of a place where a river flows continuously - it will erode the land in the area it flows leaving a channel of sorts in its shape
