It has potential but the interactions are quite forced. Maybe you can slow it down a little bit. Also, she's been 40, her actions are more of a teenage girl than an adult. Technically she is, but even her thoughts are like that of a teenage girl. I still like it though, it just becomes awkward at times because of the aforementioned simple problems. I really think that an editor can help you achieve those.
