1,000 years is too long, too much can change in that time frame. I think 10 years is a good number, enough that both sides have veterans of the conflict, tired of the fighting, yet willing to keep going. It’s also enough time for Vesuvius and the ally gods to attack with a vengeance.
I think 1000 for the magic world and 10 on earth. Make it so that earth is dealing with players who have awakened powers and more people play the game to get powers. As for the game world make it as if thing went back to normal before the war with more players on either the demons side or the gods. The new world should be a world of dragon with more then half with dragon blood in them with them colonizing all the worlds in their solar system with each dragon having there own world.
