Had this been a neutral evil character or a schemer, he might’ve guilt tripped or gaslighted her into thinking that she was the reason he changed. MC: ‘When I realised that even you wouldn’t protect when when I was being taken advantage of by older sis, I decided to change.’ Or this could have been the story of some side character and she as the heroine would live on with the guilt of her brother committing suici- and then the MC swoops in and comforts her in her time of distress etc. These are just random thoughts I had. The chap was not bad. The MC is a normal guy so I get his reactions to be fair to him.
