Because your Peter is a self insert and how he treats the world and those around him I don't really care about this chapter at all. Your mc isn't a sociopath but he's definitely a narcissist You want us to think this chapter is heartwarming, but you have a hero in New York who completely ignores all the domestic and drug related crimes in his city, he just beats up people as all this goes on. I'm supposed to care now because it's a comic book character with SPECIFICALLY a super background? Nah, this is a power trip story and for good and worst I can enjoy that which is why I'm still reading
